Sunday Salon Series
Let’s bring Flamenco to the Community!
Mozaico Flamenco brings intimate flamenco shows to North Vancouver’s Anne MacDonald Studio.
Our next performance is Flamenco Dim Sum, May 3rd, 2026.

The intention behind the “Sunday Salon Series” is to revitalize the vibrant Flamenco community of dancers, singers, guitarists and musicians and share the art with a live audience, as flamenco was always intended!
The audiences will enjoy being part of this informal atmosphere, participating with “palmas” handclaps and “jaleos”, enthusiastic shouts of encouragement “Ole”!
“We want to bring back Live Flamenco because that is what we do best. Flamenco does not depend on being in the theatre with fancy lighting and technology.
Quite the contrary, we just need each other,” says Kasandra Lea whose stage name is Kasandra “La China”, flamenco dancer and organizer, “Flamenco is an interactive art form that relies being face-to-face.
It is about the chemistry between the artists and live, spontaneous interaction with the audience. It is about co-creating in the moment, being inspired and seeking that ever-elusive moment of ‘Duende’ where synergy is created. That is the heart of flamenco!”
Launching the Sunday Salon Series, fiery passionate flamenco song, music & dance performance by Mozaico Flamenco.
Mozaico Flamenco’s “Sunday Salon Series” will continue the first two Sundays of the month for the remainder of the year.
Act 1 starts at 7:30pm. 45-50 minutes professional show, followed by a Question and Answer period over wine for $5, so the audience can meet the artists.
Act 2 starts at 8:30pm and continues in a community circle, like the tablaos in the caves of Sacromonte, Granada.
Flamenco is a vibrant art form that lives on audience interaction in the form of handclapping and shouts, OLE! Celebrate this wonderful event with Mozaico Flamenco. Be ready for anything!
We encourage everyone to get dressed up in flamenco flamboyance to celebrate, whether that is a flower in the hair or polka-dot dress, but if you have neither, just come with your voice and clapping hands.
We are grateful to the BC Arts Council for keeping the Arts alive in British Columbia. Let’s bring back the Arts to the Community!
