This workshop incorporates cante lesson, palmas and speaks about how the dance relates to the song forms, Solea por Bulerías and Bulerías de Utrera.

This class will be beneficial to people interested in knowing more about flamenco cante, music/palmas/rhythm, and for intermediate+ dancers that dance these song forms. People can tailor their learning online based on whether they want to sing or dance.

Class Structure:
45 minutes – learn how to sing a letra, analyze letra, add palmas
45 minutes – final 45 min cante appreciation, Jafelin will sing many letras while people dance or clap along, and this is essentially attuning our ears to the flamenco mode. The song forms being a spectrum of cante with various speeds, we have a great example of how a singer can sing the exact same letra por Soléa, SPB and Bulerías.
