Linda Hayes auditioned for Al Mozaico Flamenco Dance Academy’s first inaugural solo audition back in June. Flamenco is about desire. Many students put their time, energy and soul into flamenco and many are capable of doing solo work. As flamenco is a solo art form, I would like to encourage students to develop solos, practice independently and provide opportunities for them to perform on the “big stage”. Congratulations, Linda! You are a role model!

Congratulations to our Tangos and Bulerias por Fiesta soloists who performed their own choreography. A first for many! This photo features Elena who told me that dancing in the Tangos circle was something that made her very “afraid”, so she resolved to conquer that fear this term and work on a solo. Good work, Elena!
